Billy Joel reveals a rivalry with Elton John to Harry Connick Jr. on the Season 2 premiere of Connick’s show, “Harry,” airing Tuesday.
When Connick asks, “Do you feel pressure to write new songs?” Joel says, “Elton used to ask me that. We would be on the road together . . . ‘When are you going to make another album? When are you making more albums?’ After a while, I would say, ‘When are you going to make less albums?’”
Joel said that John can “do stuff in keys that I don’t even know how to play.”
