Harrison Ford finally addresses alleged affair with Carrie Fisher

Han Solo is finally acknowledging his alleged real-life affair with Princess Leia.

Carrie Fisher made the shocking claim in her final memoir, “The Princess Diarist,” going into detail about her alleged affair with Harrison Ford while filming “Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope.” Fisher was 19 at the time while Ford was 33 and married to Mary Marquardt, with whom he shares two children.

Ford remained silent when the book was published, only giving a statement about Fisher’s legacy upon her untimely death.

Approaching the one-year anniversary of Fisher’s passing, Ford acknowledged the bombshell claims in a new interview with GQ.

“It was strange. For me,” he told GQ’s October issue when asked how he felt about Fisher’s book, noting he had advance warning “to a degree.”

Ford remained coy about the issue, telling the magazine, “Oh, I don’t know. I don’t know [what I thought]. You know, with Carrie’s untimely passing, I don’t really feel that it’s a subject that I want to discuss.”

The 75-year-old actor said he didn’t actually read her final publication, but acknowledged gossip is a part of his life.

“I expect to be criticized, and I expect to be unfairly praised,” he told GQ. “It’s just part of the thing — that people will talk about you.”

Fisher’s claims in “The Princess Diarist” left fans shocked.

“I looked over at Harrison. A hero’s face — a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow,” she wrote in the memoir. “How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?”

“I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him,” Fisher continued. “He was kind.”

She also told People magazine, “It was so intense — it was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.”
