Getty oil patriarch honors stepmom with ‘Porgy and Bess’ tune

Gordon Getty, 83, patriarch of the Getty oil dynasty, got a standing ovation after singing “Summertime” from “Porgy and Bess” at the memorial for his stepmother.

Teddy Getty Gaston, a nightclub singer who became the fifth and final wife of Gordon’s father, J. Paul Getty, died at 103 in April.

Her life was celebrated last weekend with a dinner hosted by her daughter, filmmaker Gigi Gaston, at the LA home of producer James L. Brooks.

Sharon Stone read excerpts from Teddy’s memoir, “Alone Together: My Life With J. Paul Getty” to such guests as Aileen Getty, Cornelia Guest, Jane Holzer and Richard and Robert Dupont.

The family is bracing for the Dec. 8 release of “All the Money in the World,” the Ridley Scott drama about the 1973 kidnapping of J. Paul Getty III, starring Kevin Spacey, Michelle Williams and Mark Wahlberg.
