Khloé was initially told Lamar had died after drug overdose

Before rushing to Lamar Odom‘s side following his 2015 overdose, Khloé and the Kardashian-Jenner family were incorrectly told the NBA player had died as a result.

“I was screaming,” Odom’s ex-wife, 33, recalled in the forthcoming “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” 10th anniversary special, airing Sunday. “To think and to go through the motions as if someone has passed away is the most traumatic thing to do and then to know they’re really alive, it was too many emotions, I think, for any of us to handle.”

Odom, 37, was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel following an apparent drug overdose. He was later rushed to the hospital, where he spent four days in a coma.

Kendall Jenner, 21, revealed she found out about Odom’s health scare via a text from Kim, 36, upon landing in London.

“It had said Lamar passed away,” Kendall said. “And I immediately started sobbing on the plane. Then I got the next text came through, saying, ‘Actually he’s okay, he’s alive but he’s not doing well.’ So that’s why I was so upset, because I wanted to be there to be able to say goodbye.”

Though Khloé initially filed for divorce from Odom in December 2013 after four years of marriage, she halted the proceedings amid his overdose. She re-filed in May 2016, with the divorce being finalized in December of the same year. Odom later checked into rehab.
