Guests at a star-studded bash for the new season of NBC’s “Will & Grace” got more than just a peek at the beloved cast back together again — the partiers on the outdoor terrace at trendy Lower East Side rooftop venue Mr. Purple also got a view of a copulating couple in the throes of passion through a window of the hotel next door.
The party crowd and show cast members — Debra Messing, Eric McCormack and Sean Hayes — were astonished when they got a full-on view of the carnal couple, who were doing it with the lights on and the curtains open in front of a floor-to-ceiling window of the SIXTY LES hotel, which is adjacent to Mr. Purple.
Party guest Kane Manera, a top real estate exec, told Page Six, “I saw it. The southern exposure. Basically the largest window [of the hotel] facing the Mr. Purple terrace. Everyone was cheering when it was clear they had finally finished. They were completely unaware anyone could see them. Very sex in the city. He put in an excellent effort.”
But the passionate performance was soon over, and the party carried on, post-coitus.
Celebs who turned out at the Vanity Fair and Cinema Society shindig included Harry Connick Jr. and Jill Goodacre, Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann, Diane Sawyer, David Schwimmer, Andy Cohen, Carol Kane, Keegan-Michael Key and Tituss Burgess.
“Will & Grace” returns to NBC on Thursday, more than a decade after its 2006 “finale.”
