Margot Robbie didn’t think she was sexy enough for ‘Wolf of Wall Street’

It was her breakout Hollywood role but Margot Robbie thought she wasn’t sexy enough to play a blonde bombshell in “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

“I was just terrified that people would see the movie and think ‘eugh! She’s not that great,’” Robbie said, of her “high-tempo sexy” character “Duchess” Naomi alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the Martin Scorsese-directed biopic.

“When I was playing Naomi in ‘The Wolf of Wolf Street‘ it was so high-tempo sexy,” Robbie said.

“I was acutely aware that the line in the screenplay was ‘the hottest blonde ever,’ I’m clearly not the hottest blonde ever.”

The Australian actor, 27, has posed in a racy shoot for Wonderland magazine, shot by director Gia Coppola, for her latest role playing disgraced American figure skater Tonya Harding in “I, Tonya” — a movie Robbie also produced.

In contrast to her “Wolf of Wall Street” character, Robbie said “the worse I looked the happier people were on the set of ‘I, Tonya.’ ”

The former “Neighbors” star admitted Hollywood’s obsession with looks was “frustrating” to deal with.

“All the reading, all the acting coaching, and then someone reviews the movie or interviews you and all they do is focus on the aesthetics,” she told Wonderland.

“You think, ‘f–k you. You’ve totally discredited the work I did and it’s not fair.’”
