Jennifer Lopez postpones Las Vegas shows following tragedy

Jennifer Lopez is the first major star to postpone Las Vegas shows in light of the recent massacre.

Page Six has learned that Lopez, 48, will reschedule three upcoming concerts at the Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

“Out of respect to victims and families of the tragedy in Las Vegas, Jennifer Lopez will be postponing the ‘Jennifer Lopez: All I Have’ performances planned for Wednesday, Oct. 4, Friday, Oct. 6 and Saturday, Oct. 7 inside The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino,” Lopez’s team announced in a news release on Tuesday.

The announcement adds that Lopez, who recently donated $1 million to help Puerto Rico following hurricane devastation, is “heartbroken that such a senseless tragedy occurred.”

Regarding security concerns, Jennifer Forkish, vice president of corporate communications for Caesars Entertainment, which owns Planet Hollywood, told us, “We are constantly reviewing our security policies and practices to keep our guests and employees safe. We are also working very closely with law enforcement, especially Las Vegas Metro, to continue to keep our properties secure.”

It’s unclear what Lopez’s fellow Vegas headliners — including Britney Spears and Céline Dion — are planning to do. Requests for comment from their reps weren’t immediately returned.

Janet Jackson is also set to perform in Las Vegas next week. A request for comment from her team wasn’t immediately returned either.
