‘Black Mirror’ cast talks scary realities of technology

After being dubbed the “Twilight Zone” of the digital age, it’s no surprise that even the “Black Mirror” cast finds technology to be somewhat frightening.

“The scariest part of technology is our willingness to let it do so much work for us and therefore have a little more control every year and knowledge. If you think about a computer as a being, I think it’s the slow offering of control from us to them,” Jimmi Simpson, who stars in the upcoming “USS Callister” episode, told Page Six at a Paleyfest screening of the Netflix hit on Friday.

Cristin Milioti added, “I think it’s overstimulating, so it makes us process stuff at a speed that we’re not meant to process.”

But the show’s creator Charlie Brooker told us technology isn’t always to blame.

“I do think its a bit like having superpowers … I think the problem is our own weakness and mistakes that humans make, not technology,” he said before adding, “Having said that, those new Google Clips cameras, those are f–king creepy, so I’m full of s–t.”

During the panel, executive producer Annabel Jones and some of the cast members revealed that since working on the show they’ve covered up their computer cameras.

A release date for Season 4 of “Black Mirror” has yet to be announced.
