Six weeks after Page Six revealed that Laurence Fishburne‘s wife, Gina Torres, was dating a different man, Fishburne has filed for divorce.
The couple has been separated for more than a year and, shortly after the story appeared, Torres released a statement saying, “With heavy hearts, Laurence and I quietly separated and began the dissolution of our marriage in the early fall of last year.” The “Suits” actress added, “There are no bad guys here. Only a love story with a different ending than either one of us had expected.”
TMZ reported on Friday that Fishburne had filed paperwork in LA to officially end their 16-year marriage.
In September we reported that Torres was dating divorced Utah entrepreneur Kevin Wright, whom she met while on vacation in San Diego.
Fishburne and Torres have a 10-year-old daughter, Delilah.
