Chrissy Teigen‘s Twitter boycott didn’t go as planned.
“I will NEVER use 280 characters nor will I favorite or retweet a tweet with them. THIS IS MY FIGHT SONG,” the star wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.
Five hours later, she quoted a tweet with more than 280 characters when a Twitter user insulted her cooking skills. She responded to his tweet with, “I have a #1 New York Times best selling cookbook and cook 3 course meals around 14 times a week. But yeah, you go to the grocery store sometimes.”
Teigen admitted her defeat and inability to fight the new Twitter update. “Maybe I could get used to this extra characters thing,” she wrote, then said, “I’m horrible at fighting the system. That was like…a two hour boycott.”
