Kelsea Ballerini will celebrate the holidays as a Mrs.
The country singer wed Australian musician Morgan Evans over the weekend in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, a rep for Ballerini confirmed Monday to Page Six. Hours after tying the knot, the 24-year-old newlywed shared a scenic snap from the beach on Instagram.
“Mr & Mrs. Evans,” Ballerini posted Sunday.
Evans, 32, popped the question to Ballerini nine months after the duo met while co-hosting an awards show in Australia.
“This morning, 9 months and 13 days later, he got down on one knee in the kitchen while I was burning pancakes and asked me to marry him,” she gushed on social media. “Loving him has been the greatest gift of my life. And now I get to do it for life. #HECALLEDDIBS.”
Despite hectic schedules, Ballerini and Evans made their relationship work by committing to one another early on.
“You just have to make it happen,” Ballerini told Entertainment Tonight. “I think that if we didn’t make that rule, we’d go months all the time [without seeing each other]. But our relationship is obviously a priority. It’s one thing that makes me happier than anything else, so I need to have that as a priority in my life.”
