Tommy Wiseau finally gets his Golden Globe moment … kind of

Tommy Wiseau — known for making the best-worst movie ever made, “The Room” — finally got his moment when James Franco won the best actor award for a musical or comedy at the Golden Globes.

Franco, who plays Wiseau in “The Disaster Artist,” brought the long-haired, European filmmaker on-stage with him on Sunday night — but had to push him away from the mic when he tried to speak.

Franco thanked Tommy and the many people who worked on the film with him, including Seth Rogen and sister-in-law Alison Brie. He also thanked his mom for giving birth to his brother Dave Franco, who stars as Wiseau’s best friend Greg Sestero.

Wiseau starred in, directed, produced and wrote “The Room,” which has gone on to gain a cult following since its premiere in 2003. He is rumored to have spent $6 million on the production.

“The Disaster Artist,” which is based on the book of the same name, chronicles the making of “The Room” and Sestero’s real-life friendship with Wiseau.
