Jackie Oshry gets engaged amid family scandal

Instagram star Jackie Oshry has gotten engaged in the midst of a scandal enveloping her family.

While her show “Morning Breath” was canceled Thursday after it was revealed earlier this week that her mother is an anti-Islamist activist and that she and sister Claudia sent anti-Muslim tweets, Oshry spent Wednesday night getting engaged to boyfriend Zachary Weinreb.

One of Jackie’s friends posted an Instagram story of her showing off her ring at Cipriani Wall Street. We’re told they got engaged at Pier 17.

The soon-to-be groom’s brother Kyle Weinreb also posted a pic of the couple, with Jackie showing off the ring and looking ecstatic.

On Thursday, Oath, the company that formed when AOL and Yahoo merged last year, canceled the show.

Sis Claudia posted a teary Instagram video: “I was 16, and I thought I was being funny and cool on Twitter,” she said, holding back tears. “I’m not racist. I can’t believe I have to say that. I’m so sorry to anyone who read those tweets and had a reaction … That’s not who I am.”

Jackie posted an apology for the “indefensible comments I’ve made in the past. That is not a reflection of who I am as a person today and I am truly sorry.”

When we asked sister Claudia’s management company, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, to speak with her manager, Seth Jacobs, we were immediately told (without even mentioning Claudia), “We do not represent Claudia Oshry, that’s all we have to say.” When asked if this was a new development, they repeated the line.

An assistant at the office of Claudia’s CAA agent, David Freeman, would only tell us “we cannot make a comment on that,” when we asked if they still represented her.
