Tommy Hilfiger’s heartfelt defense of Gigi Hadid turned into commentary on all the other “not too smart” models he’s worked with.
Asked about rumors that the model has reunited with former boyfriend Zayn Malik, the fashion designer said he had full faith in Hadid’s decision making.
“Gigi is very, very smart,” he told TMZ. “She’s got her head on her shoulders. If she thinks it’s the right thing to do, it’s the right thing to do. Never underestimate Gigi’s intelligence.”
But then Hilfiger, who describes Hadid as being “like one of my daughters,” took things a step further, comparing her intellect to some of the other models he’s worked with during his career.
“She’s incredibly intelligent,” he said. “Not only beautiful. Years ago models were beautiful but not too smart. She’s on another level. The full package.”
We wonder how Gisele, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Tyra Banks will feel about that?
