David Foster still has a thing for blondes.
The 68-year-old music producer and girlfriend Katharine McPhee stepped out Monday for the annual Met Gala, finally confirming their long-rumored romance.
Dressed in a sheer blue Georges Chakra Couture gown, the “Waitress” actress, 34, called the event a “nice date night” with Foster, to Entertainment Tonight.
“It’s a lot of work, I’m not gonna lie,” McPhee said of her stunning ensemble. “I’m just sort of the doll, but the hair and makeup and styling the last hour before you hit a carpet is kind of intense.”
First linked last spring, McPhee and Foster have been spotted together on several occasions, with the Grammy winner’s daughter, Erin, quipping about her father’s relationship status with the former “American Idol” contestant, calling McPhee “my new stepmom” at the Grammy Museum Gala last fall.
Foster was previously wed to Yolanda Hadid, 54, who filed for divorce in January 2016 after four years of marriage. Hadid’s supermodel daughter Bella, 21, greeted her former stepfather on the red carpet Monday evening.
Recently, McPhee and Foster celebrated her Broadway debut with a private party at the Common Ground lounge in the Meatpacking District.
