Anthony Bourdain’s mom to get ‘Tony’ tattoo

Even though she never approved of her son’s ink, Anthony Bourdain‘s mom will soon be sporting a tattoo in his memory.

A few weeks after the renowned international food guru took his own life in a France hotel room, Gladys Bourdain said in an interview with the New York Times on Friday that she’ll be getting her late son’s nickname, “Tony,” inked on the inside of her wrist.

Gladys, a former editor at the paper, said she’ll be using his tattoo artist.

The “Parts Unknown” host, who died at 61, was cremated in France after initial delays, and there will eventually be a private memorial ceremony.

“He would want as little fuss as possible,” Gladys said.

No public ceremony has been planned yet, Bourdain’s ex-wife told the Times.

The article also included findings from the celebrity chef’s toxicology report, declaring that no narcotics were found in his system at the time of his death.

Also on Friday, Bourdain’s Italian actress girlfriend Asia Argento tweeted a photo of happier times.

“Two weeks without you,” she captioned the snap of the two of them against an ocean backdrop.

As of Monday, Argento had returned to work on Italy’s “X Factor.”
