Elvis Duran will have much to talk about come Monday morning.
The veteran Z100 radio host, 53, and Alex Carr are engaged after having been together for nearly eight years, according to Carr’s Instagram announcement posted on Friday.
“I’ve always considered myself to be lucky and blessed, as I was when Elvis came into my life almost 8 years ago … first as my boyfriend and now fiancé!!!! They say opening umbrellas in the house brings bad luck, but this time I don’t believe it. I love you Elvis Duran!,” he gushed.
Carr, a zookeeper from Staten Island, proposed to Duran by opening an umbrella inside — a nod to the Friday the 13th superstition — that had the message “Elvis will you marry me?” written on it.
The happy news was also confirmed on the “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” website on Saturday.
“We are so happy to announce that Elvis and his partner Alex are getting married!”
