Director Marina Zenovich, behind HBO’s new Robin Williams doc “Come Inside My Mind,” told us she understands why some of the icon’s close friends might not want to watch.
“Different people have different feelings about this,” she told us at a screening. “It’s very touchy, so you have to respect people’s views.”
Williams’ friend Bobcat Goldthwait has publicly said he will likely skip it, “Not out of protest . . . I just miss my friend, and I think it would be hard.”
Zenovich told us, “I totally respect that . . . I wanted to get Bobcat in the film because they were very good friends. I have him in the film [but in archival footage].”
