Jon Voight on Roe v. Wade movie

Jon Voight — who will play a Supreme Court judge in the upcoming controversial, anti-abortion movie “Roe v. Wade,” written and directed by Cathy Allyn and Nick Loeb — told us the movie will be “an opportunity for people to learn about it all.”

The right-wing Oscar winner said, “Everyone has very strong opinions, but they are getting these little sound bites. It’s very good to really find out who all the people at that time were in 1973, all the different personalities, what they were doing. The Supreme Court, what its judgment was made from and the people who went through it. I think it’s going to be very interesting for folks. It’s loaded with information.”

The polarizing film has so far had issues finding filming locations, while some cast and crew, including its original director and assistant director, quickly jumped ship.

Roger Stone, Tomi Lahren and Milo Yiannopoulos reportedly will make cameos. “I have my own very strong opinions about abortion,” Voight, who’s stuck by the film, told us.

“I feel very strongly that every child is a child of God . . . The mystery of life is so precious. We should be responsible for it . . . Abortion shouldn’t be used as a prophylactic.”

But he added: “Should the government get involved in it? No. I think that these are women’s decision, but I do think we lost a lot of moral ground in the ’60s.”
