Wiz Khalifa says controversial lyric isn’t racist because he loves Koreans

Wiz Khalifa doesn’t care that some people think a lyric from his new song is racist.

On Tuesday’s “Breakfast Club,” the rapper, 30, was asked about the controversy surrounding his new single “Hot Now,” which features the lyric “Smoke got my eyes lookin’ Korean.”

“And I also say I smoke like a Jamaican,” he told co-host Charlamagne tha God. “And I also say I live like a white man … So chill out. I’m not a racist. I love all races.”

Pressed on whether or not he felt the need to apologize to Koreans, especially in light of an article about the controversy that appeared in The Korea Times, Khalifa said he felt he had nothing to be sorry about.

“No,” he said. “I have Korean friends that are not offended. I don’t know those people who are saying that.”

But Amber Rose’s ex wasn’t done there, going on to say he didn’t feel the need to defend the lyric or himself to anyone.

“I don’t need to explain anything. I love Koreans,” he said with a laugh.
