Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez isn’t meeting with typical Hollywood liberals during LA trip

New York political wunderkind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez begins an LA trip on Thursday, but she won’t be meeting with any of Hollywood’s usual liberal power brokers, such as Jeffrey Katzenberg, David Geffen or Haim Saban.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Democratic donors are steering clear.

Or, is she avoiding them?

Either way, Ocasio-Cortez and the top donor class won’t mix.

“None of our clients are meeting with her,” Marie Lloyd of consultancy Gonring, Spahn & Associates, which counts Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg as clients, told THR.

Jennifer Levin, a writer for the “Beauty and the Beast” TV series, told THR: “I totally get why she is staying away from the industry. She doesn’t need us.”

LA Mayor Eric Garcetti is out of town, and a source told the Hollywood trade that Ocasio-Cortez’s team didn’t reach out anyway.

Said a political observer: “Eric is considered part of the establishment and Ocasio-Cortez is not going to want to cozy up to them.”

The far-left candidate will instead appear at a downtown event for Occupy ICE LA, for which tickets are $27 a pop. She’ll also reportedly appear at another event for the Democratic Socialists of America’s LA chapter, and those tickets will go up to $50.

At a 2016 Hillary Clinton fund-raiser hosted by George and Amal Clooney tables went for $353,400.
