Colton Haynes continues to grieve the loss of his mother Dana.
On Saturday, the actor spread her ashes over Jenny Lake inside of Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park.
“Spreading my mom’s ashes on her birthday with my family,” he captioned a snapshot standing in the lake. “What an emotional/beautiful experience. Words [can’t] describe what happened today.”
Dana died on March 23 due to cirrhosis of the liver.
In April, the 30-year-old shared his emotional reaction to picking up her ashes.
“I sat in the parking lot & cried for 3 hours,” he wrote. “I felt so paralyzed that I checked into a Motel 6 down the street & fell asleep holding her box on the bathroom floor.”
Haynes also split from his husband of six months in May.
