Whitney Houston’s ‘Bodyguard’ costume can be yours for $10K

One of Whitney Houston‘s most memorable outfits is going up for auction — and it’s not cheap.

The late musical icon’s “Queen of the Night” costume from her 1992 film “The Bodyguard” is up for grabs at ScreenUsed.com, with a starting bid of $10,000.

Created by the movie’s costume designer, Susan Nininger, the outfit includes a chrome-like plastic chest piece, cloth corset, metallic gray under-suit, chrome-covered collar piece and belt, metallic skirt attachment, long gloves, metal arm cuffs, tall heeled boots and a silver headpiece.

Arguably Houston’s most iconic look from her turn as pop star Rachel Marron in “The Bodyguard,” the costume is both featured on the movie poster and in a scene where her character is attacked during a live performance.

Due to the sequence’s stunt work, the outfit features “some holes and rips from wear during filming” and several areas of missing beadwork.

Fans have until Aug. 25 to bid on Houston’s ensemble.
