After Kristen Bell revealed that she smokes weed around her husband Dax Shepard, who has been sober for 14 years, the “CHIPs” star came to her defense.
The Twitter account for “The Talk” asked its fans if they expected their spouses to stay sober if they were. Shepard retweeted the poll and added, “That would be like a diabetic expecting their partner to never eat dessert. Get real!”
Bell told podcast host Marc Maron that she smokes marijuana because “weed rules.”
“Once a week, if I am exhausted and we are about to sit down and watch ’60 Minutes,’ why not?” she mused.
The “Veronica Mars” star also said Shepard is encouraging her to host an overnight ecstasy party where he would have the role of sober companion because “he lost his privilege with [drugs] because he can’t handle it; his brain doesn’t have the chemistry to handle it.”
