Former “Price is Right” host Bob Barker has been reportedly hospitalized in Los Angeles after experiencing major back pain.
Paramedics arrived at the 94-year-old’s Hollywood Hills home at around 1 p.m. Monday and took him to Cedars-Sinai hospital, according to TMZ.
His manager told the gossip site that his family didn’t want to risk transporting him to the hospital themselves, so they called an ambulance. The site noted that Barker, who woke up with back pain Monday morning, was sitting up on the stretcher and “seemed responsive.”
This isn’t Barker’s first health scare. Nearly two weeks ago Fox reported that Barker suffered a “non-emergency” back injury.
“He’s home, he’s resting, he’s comfortable. He’s OK,” his rep told Fox at the time.
Last June, Barker hit his head after falling in his Los Angeles home.
A rep for Barker did not immediately return our request for comment.
