Meghan Markle wears same dress as Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend

Meghan Markle committed a bit of a fashion faux pas while on her first royal tour in Australia.

On Thursday, the Duchess of Sussex, 37, kicked off the 2018 Sydney Invictus Games by opening the ANZAC Memorial — and as usual, her outfit made headlines.

However, this time Markle’s dress, a $2,110 black Emilia Wickstead style, stole the show because it was seen first on someone else with close ties to Prince Harry: his ex-girlfriend, actress Jenna Coleman.

In June, Coleman — who was linked to Harry in 2015 and, incidentally, plays his great-great-great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria in the PBS series “Victoria” — wore the same dress in white to the Cartier Trophy at the Guards Polo Club.

Markle put her own spin on the mid-length, short-sleeve dress by adding a Philip Treacy fascinator, $1,990 Givenchy clutch and Tabitha Simmons pumps.

Though Price Harry and Coleman’s relationship is well in the past, the two reportedly had an “awkward run-in” in Amsterdam about a month ago, when newlyweds Harry and Markle showed up at a Soho House opening the actress also attended. Harry “didn’t even acknowledge Jenna,” according to Vanity Fair, while Meghan “didn’t seem to notice” her.

Still, it’s clear these two share more than just their taste in men.
