If the outfit ain’t broke, why fix it?
That appears to be Kanye West‘s fashion motto: The rapper attended Prada‘s first-ever “Prada Mode” party in Miami on Thursday night wearing the same pair of sweatpants he was spotted in at the Versace show last Sunday.
At the closing night celebration, held at the Freehand Miami hotel during Art Basel, the 41-year-old musician arrived wearing a custom shirt from his forthcoming “SKINS” merchandise collection featuring the words “When I’m on the way X hold the gate” — a lyric from “One Minute,” his song with late rapper XXXTentacion.
He paired the top with $199 Brain Dead x Gustavo sweatpants, which he picked up from Dover Street Market in Japan. West also wore them earlier that day while visiting Miami restaurant The Licking, pairing his beloved bottoms with a soft yellow Adidas sweatshirt.
West wore the same sweatpants on Sunday when he attended the Versace runway show in NYC with his wife Kim Kardashian (and swiped an earring straight off the runway).
While the “Fade” rapper did change into a few pairs of black trousers over the course of the week, it’s clear these sweats are his new go-to — so don’t be surprised when they pop up again at the next fashion party he attends.
