Amara La Negra is too busy for ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ drama

Amara La Negra doesn’t have time for her “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” costars when they’re not filming.

“I’m constantly always working because there are so many things that I’m juggling all at the same time and doing a lot of things I don’t even have the opportunity to post [on social media],” La Negra told Page Six on Wednesday ahead of the show’s premiere. “I’m really busy. I don’t really hang out or go out with any of the cast members.”

La Negra, 28, added that she feels that she was “considered the breakout star of the first season” so the cast naturally wants to fight with her or engage with her in order to secure more air time for themselves, but it doesn’t faze her.

“I’m too busy being successful and working on my own craft and trying to be great to be concerned about people’s opinions about me,” she said, noting that she prioritizes spending time with her family and friends.

Now, she’s working toward buying herself and her mother separate homes this year and wants to work on more movies in 2019 as well.

“Love & Hip Hop: Miami” returns to VH1 on Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. ET.
