Kate Mara is expecting her first child with fellow actor and husband of one-and-a-half years, Jamie Bell, a source tells Page Six.
Our spy tells us the “Pose” actress, 35, couldn’t contain her excitement over the news at the Golden Globes, revealing to Emily Blunt that she’s pregnant after the best actress nominee commented on the size of her breasts while waiting in line for the bathroom.
Mara added that she and her husband, 31, are thrilled, however she was nervous that people would find out before she made the announcement official as she is already showing.
From there, the good news spread like a game of telephone through the Beverly Hilton.
The “House of Cards” star, who is reportedly already five months along, wore a custom Miu Miu gown to the ceremony featuring an embellished bodice with a triangle cutout that showcased her cleavage and a loosely cut prairie skirt that helped obscure her baby bump on the red carpet.
She has spoken about how important family is to her, telling Shape magazine that having Bell be “legally part of my family, it’s such an incredible thing. I’m very protective of our marriage.”
The couple began dating in the fall of 2015 after meeting on the set of “Fantastic Four” and got married in a surprise ceremony in July 2017.
This will be Bell’s second child. He also has a 4-year-old son from his previous marriage to actress Evan Rachel Wood.
