Dr. Oz to play in NBA Celebrity All-Star game

Dr. Mehmet Oz will be making a comeback at the NBA Celebrity All-Star game this year.

Ten years since he last played in annual celeb game, Page Six has exclusively learned that the health guru is ready to make his return.

“And he has been practicing!” a source told us.

Although Oz was in Atlanta for the Super Bowl this past Sunday, his mind may have been elsewhere as he took fun photos with basketball vet Julius “Dr. J.” Erving at Michael Rubin’s Fanatics party. He was also seen shooting hoops at “Shaq’s Funhouse,” an epic carnival-type festival thrown by Shaquille O’Neal during Super Bowl weekend.

And as for supporters, the daytime talk show host has got the NBA legend in his corner.

“Let me tell you now, Dr. Oz, he’s Michael Jordan,” O’Neal said in a promo video for the Celebrity All-Star game. You need to check him out at the NBA All-Star game. He’s so good the last time he played was 10 years ago.”

The Celebrity All-Star game will take place on Feb. 15. An All-Star game with NBA players will take place two days later on February 17 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Last year, Justin Bieber and Quavo participated in the star-studded game.
