Ken Griffin’s ‘friends’ don’t seem happy about reports on his real estate spending

Billionaire Ken Griffin seems to be really upset with Page Six for tallying up all the money he’s spent on real estate since his divorce, more than $700 million in the past few years.

In late January, when the Citadel founder closed on the most expensive property in the US — a four-floor New York penthouse worth $240 million, that Page Six first exclusively reported he was buying in 2015we listed all of his other over-the-top property purchases, including a $280 million under-construction Palm Beach, Fla., property with a house larger than a football field, a $122 million flat in London and a $60 million apartment in Chicago.

This set off Camp Griffin, with “friends” warning us not to report further on his real estate portfolio.

One lackey even huffed via email of our Griffin coverage, “It’s a bad look for The Post and would really appreciate if you would consider taking it down.” (We refused.)

Official reps for Griffin insisted nobody is upset.

The billionaire hopes to retire one day in his football field-sized spread.
