Celebrities who will hit the court for NBA All-Star Game

Stars have descended on Charlotte, N.C. to show off their basketball skills in the NBA’s annual Celebrity All-Star game.

Actors, social media influencers, comedians and musicians will face off at Bojangles’ Coliseum on Friday night, with Migos rapper Quavo, making his return on the Away team.

“MVP is back,” he said on Instagram the day the star-studded roster was announced.

His teammates include host of Netflix’s “Patriot Act” Hasan Minhaj, Latino rapper Bad Bunny and co-owner of the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks. Thankfully, the “Bad and Boujee” rapper will have some professionally trained assistance in Stefanie Dolson, a WNBA player who plays for Chicago Sky and NBA hall of famer Ray Allen.

The team will have 2018 WNBA Champion Sue Bird in their corner. She currently plays for the Seattle Storm.

The Home team fittingly includes “Home” singer and “American Idol” alum Chris Daughtry, “Think Like a Man” actor Terence J, and former NFL star Steve Smith. But they can count on A’ja Wilson, WNBA Rookie of the Year in 2018, to carry the team. The teammates all have North Carolina roots.

They’ll be coached by Olympian and member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Dawn Staley.

The games sponsored by Ruffles, starts at 7 p.m. and will air on ESPN.
