Oscars will get the Broadway treatment this year

The Academy Awards may be hostless this year, but the set design will get a boost from the Great White Way.

Page Six has learned that Broadway veteran production designer David Korins will be designing the set for the 91st Oscars.

Korins, who was the set designer for Broadway heavies such as “Hamilton,” “Dear Evan Hansen” and the upcoming “Beetlejuice,” will be joining the production team of the telecast for the first time.

He joins four other behind-the-scenes Oscar newbies, including Mitchell Marchand, Rickey Minor, Mike Reiss and Beth Sherman.
