Amanda Bynes in mental health facility following stress-related relapse

Amanda Bynes is back in a mental health facility following a stress-related relapse.

The former child star reportedly checked herself into a Los Angeles-area rehab center in January, following a number of troubling months, according to TMZ.

Sources told the website that Bynes, 32, has been struggling with the attention following her comeback attempt. In recent months, she’d been auditioning for roles and tried to launch a clothing line. The stress has reportedly proven to be too much for the former “All That” star.

In addition to seeking help for mental health issues, Bynes reportedly is receiving treatment for drug addiction. In November, Bynes told Paper magazine that drugs had contributed to her issues earlier in the decade, but that she had been sober for the past four years.

“Those days of experimenting [with substances] are long over,” she told the magazine. “I’m not sad about it and I don’t miss it because I really feel ashamed of how those substances made me act. When I was off of them, I was completely back to normal and immediately realized what I had done — it was like an alien had literally invaded my body. That is such a strange feeling.”

TMZ reported that Bynes is still receiving support from her parents. The actress remains under a conservatorship started by her parents, but it’s reportedly been overseen by a mental health specialist since 2014.

A rep for Bynes did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
