Lori Loughlin taken into custody following college admissions scandal

Actress Lori Loughlin has been taken into custody in Los Angeles in connection with the widespread college bribery scam, according to the FBI.

Loughlin, who plays Aunt Becky on “Fuller House,” was arrested Wednesday morning after returning to California from Vancouver.

She and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, are accused of paying $500,000 to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California as part of the school’s crew team — even though neither is a rower.

The couple is among 50 people charged in the scheme.

Loughlin recently reprised her role as wholesome Aunt Becky on “Fuller House” — a reboot of the popular 1980s and ’90s sitcom “Full House.”

She was set to appear in Los Angeles federal court later Wednesday.
