Selma Blair shares candid makeup tutorial for people with MS

Selma Blair isn’t letting multiple sclerosis get in the way of her glam.

The actress, 46, took to Instagram to post a series of lighthearted makeup tutorials on Sunday, candidly sharing how her diagnosis has changed her getting-ready routine.

“My fine motor skills aren’t, like, fine at this moment,” Blair said. “So I just want to say I’m gonna probably give a makeup tutorial never. But if I do, then you know I’m really just trying to have fun.”

Blair explained that recently, friends have tried to fix her makeup mistakes, with her manager even suggesting she stop doing her own beauty looks. But the star has a foolproof trick for applying cosmetics despite her disabilities.

“Brush. Big. Bronzer. There, done. Stop,” Blair instructed, laughing, while rubbing a huge brush around her entire face.

Celebrities flooded the post’s comments with praise. “What a ROCKSTAR you are…I adore you…sending you tons of love today my girl,” Kris Jenner wrote. “You are a dream,” Tracee Ellis Ross said. “OMG you are so funny! I love you so much Selma,” Debra Messing added.

Blair first revealed her MS diagnosis in 2018 on Instagram. “I am disabled,” she wrote. “I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken gps.”

Still, the star stole the show at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in February when she arrived with a stylish cane. Later, Blair shared that she would love to design a fashion line with Christian Siriano for people who could use chic and adaptable clothing.
