Issa Rae may be keeping the details of her engagement to longtime love Louis Diame under wraps, but there’s no hiding her gorgeous diamond ring.
The “Insecure” star, 34, debuted the sparkler on the cover of Essence magazine last week, wearing it along with a ruffled neon green Marc Jacobs ensemble and matching floral headpiece.
It was still on her finger at Saturday’s NAACP Image Awards — where her HBO co-stars Yvonne Orji and Jay Ellis both confirmed her engagement — as well as during a series of NYC press appearances on Monday.
“Issa Rae’s engagement ring appears to feature a 2.5-carat cushion- or circle-cut diamond surrounded by a halo of diamond accents that extend along the ring’s contemporary split shank band,” Brilliant Earth‘s VP of strategy and merchandising Kathryn Money told Page Six Style. “Her ring is set in white gold or platinum.”
Rae’s rock, which according to Money could be worth up to $50,000, shares its style with those worn by Karlie Kloss and Lea Michele, both of which also feature delicate diamond halos and sparkling accents along the band.
Rae and her rep have yet to comment on the engagement, and the “Little” star continued to play coy during a Monday appearance on “The View,” saying, “I have a lot of rings on my fingers.”
