Luke Perry’s son to appear in Quentin Tarantino film with dad

Luke Perry‘s son, Jack Perry, will make his acting debut in the Quentin Tarantino film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” thanks to his late father.

“He’s like, ‘I want you to be in the same film or collection of footage that I’m in,’ and he was really adamant about it,” Jack said on Chris Jericho’s podcast, “Talk Is Jericho.” “I was like, ‘Alright dad, I’ll do it.'”

The 21-year-old, who works as a professional wrestler under the name “Jungle Boy,” said he “did some extra work” and that Tarantino was “cool” with it despite his lack of experience.

The comedic drama set in the late ’60s stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, and it will be Luke’s final film role. It premieres in theaters July 26.

According to Jack, his father was “so excited” to land a part in Tarantino’s film, and that it “reinvigorated him and reenergized him.”

“He said, ‘If I never work again, I’m happy with this,'” Jack said.

Luke died on March 4 at age 52 after suffering a massive stroke. Following his death, Jack wrote on Instagram, “I’ve learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for…I’ll do whatever I can to carry on your legacy and make you proud.”
