Cardi B’s new Fashion Nova line made over $1M on first day

All Cardi B can see is the money.

The rapper, 26, has once again thrilled fans with her second collection for the fast fashion retailer Fashion Nova. The line sold out almost completely within 24 hours of its launch, making a huge profit in the process.

According to TMZ, the “Money” singer’s collection made the company $1 million on the first day of sales alone, outperforming her first collaboration with Fashion Nova, which launched in November 2018 and also sold out almost instantly.

To prepare for the “Season 2” launch, the company reportedly stocked nearly five times the amount of inventory as it did for the first collection in an attempt to meet demand. Clearly, they still wildly underestimated the pop star’s ability to drive sales.

“This time around, the clothes are going to be a little more sexy. You’re going to see a lot of skin. A lot of cleavage,” Cardi told Elle ahead of the launch. “But yet it’s so pretty and so elegant. I made sure it was sexy but also beautiful.”
