Norah O’Donnell will be getting a few more winks in now that she’s working nights.
The former “CBS This Morning” co-host, 45, took to Twitter Sunday night to congratulate co-anchors Gayle King, Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil ahead of their debut as a trio on Monday.
“Excited to sleep in AND watch my favorite morning show @CBSThisMorning with @GayleKing @AnthonyMasonCBS @tonydokoupil #CTM,” she tweeted.
O’Donnell has been named the new anchor of “CBS Evening News,” as Page Six previously reported, replacing Jeff Glor. Though she’ll be earning more than Glor, who was making less than $3 million for the job, O’Donnell’s $8 million salary is still less than King’s $11 million-a-year salary.
O’Donnell was previously making about $5 million on “CBS This Morning.”
Despite the salary difference, O’Donnell’s new job comes with various other perks, including moving the broadcast to Washington, DC, where her husband is based and the family has a home. CBS also gave her a promotion at “60 Minutes,” Page Six first reported, where she’ll have her own dedicated team of producers.
O’Donnell’s “CBS Evening News” job starts this summer.
