Simon Cowell says he lost 20 pounds on vegan diet

Ahead of his milestone 60th birthday in October, Simon Cowell says he’s lost 20 pounds on a vegan diet.

The “America’s Got Talent” judge told “Extra” he’s feeling “much better” after dropping the weight — but admits he does occasionally crave pizza, which has been “really hard.”

Cowell’s lifestyle change came about after he suffered a terrifying fall in October 2017 after fainting while going down the stairs. He later revealed the accident was a result of low blood pressure.

In April of this year, Cowell told The Sun he began embracing a vegan diet after a doctor friend recommended he see an expert. Cowell decided to cut out meat, dairy, wheat and sugar, as well as melon, which he found out he was allergic to.

“Within 24 hours I changed my diet and I’ve not looked back since,” Cowell said. “You feel better, you look better.”

Cowell, who shares a son with longtime girlfriend Lauren Silverman, also told “Extra” he stays active with his partner and child, which helps maintain his healthier physique.

“Now we can cycle together,” he said. “I love that. We just do normal things.”
