Tate Donovan fell in love on the set of “Rocketman” — with wigs.
The actor had to wear a fake ’do to play long-haired club owner Doug Weston and told Page Six at the movie’s premiere, “I never acted with a wig before in my life, and it is so much f–king fun — I loved it.”
In fact, he told us at the event at Alice Tully Hall, “I’m kind of jealous of women that they can wear wigs — but that’s a secret.”
Meanwhile, he told us that he was stunned by Taron Egerton’s uncanny portrayal of Elton John in the biopic.
“I never met Elton John,” he said, “but I felt like I knew Elton John after working five days with Taron.”
