Taylor Swift’s new album ‘Lover’ will have a clothing line

Taylor Swift doesn’t just have new music on the horizon — she’s also got a fashion collaboration coming.

To support the release of her new album “Lover,” out Aug. 23, the 29-year-old pop star will be debuting a collaboration with British fashion designer Stella McCartney inspired by her new sound.

“She’s been a friend for a really long time, and also just a woman I respect so much,” Swift said of McCartney during an Instagram Live on Thursday announcing “Lover” and its related launches.

“I respect what she creates, how she creates it. There’s so much whimsy and imagination and romance to the clothing that she designs, and I’ve worn a lot of her stuff recently.”

Continued Swift: “She’s heard the new album, and this new collaboration is inspired by the ‘Lover’ album … I’m so excited about that, and really excited that she would want to collaborate in this way.”

While the star neither elaborated on the specifics of the designs nor revealed a launch date, she did share that her album’s tone “is really romantic,” making it an ideal fit for McCartney’s famously feminine clothes.

Most recently, Swift wore a pair of McCartney’s rainbow “Eclypse” sneakers ($492) to perform at Wango Tango on June 1. She also donned a Cinderella-esque pale blue gown by the designer for the 2019 BAFTAs back in February, and a pink princess dress of McCartney’s to pose for her Time 100 feature in April.

Her beloved cats, Meredith and Olivia, even travel in style in their own $2,000 Stella McCartney pet carrier.
