Britney Spears brings back iconic ‘…Baby One More Time’ costume

Britney Spears posted a new selfie to her Instagram account on Thursday recreating one of her most iconic outfits.

The pop star, 37, channeled her 16-year-old self wearing a white ruffled button-down top tied up into a crop top, along with a plaid pleated skirt and black Birkenstocks.

The look called to mind the costume she wore in the music video for her first-ever single “…Baby One More Time” — in fact, all that was missing were the knee socks and baby pink marabou scrunchies.

Clearly, the Grammy winner has her 1999 debut album on the brain, as she’s currently using the cover art as her Instagram profile photo.

But while the throwback look was a hit with her fans, Spears let them know her day of shopping was less than successful.

“I went shade shopping today but found nothing!!!!,” the “Toxic” singer wrote in the caption. “Oh well 😔 ….. but I did find a nice bracelet!!!!!!”
