Public memorial set for ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ star Beth Chapman

Fans will have an opportunity to bid farewell to “Dog the Bounty Hunter” star Beth Chapman, who died this week after a battle with cancer.

Her daughter Cecily and stepdaughter Lyssa are inviting the public to join the family at a gathering in Hawaii on Saturday to honor Beth’s life, they announced Friday.

“Beth had two homes – Hawai’i and Colorado. ‘I love Hawai’i the most,’ she said, so she will be sent off in true Hawaiian style, with aloha,” an invitation read.

The memorial will take place on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Fort DeRussy Beach in Waikiki.

The afternoon will consist of Hawaiian oli (chant), prayer and a paddle out with family and friends.

Beth’s husband, Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, is planning to hold a separate memorial in Colorado, details of which will be announced soon.

Beth died Wednesday in Hawaii at the age of 51. She had been fighting throat cancer.
