Gayle King has been doing overtime promoting Norah O’Donnell’s “CBS Evening News” launch.
There was buzz that King wanted her former co-host off “CBS This Morning,” which CBS blasted as untrue.
“Cheering you on always Norah,” she posted Monday, adding: “Tune in tonight as Norah debuts as anchor and managing editor at ‘CBS Evening News.’ ”
O’Donnell revealed King’s BFF Oprah Winfrey told her that new gig is her “supreme destiny.”
She told the Hollywood Reporter that Oprah told her in a congratulatory call: “There are so few women who get to speak about the world to the world.”
