Beastie Boys Adam Horovitz and Mike Diamond reminisce at Adidas event

LL Cool J interviewed Beastie Boys Adam Horovitz and Mike Diamond in Brooklyn on Monday to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their acclaimed album “Paul’s Boutique.”

Ad-Rock and Mike D — who rapped in 1989 that they had “more Adidas sneakers than a plumber’s got pliers” — also unveiled an upcoming skateboarding shoe they’ve created for the brand.

Attendees at the private event — held at the ongoing Beyond the Streets graffiti exhibition in Williamsburg — induced Rosie Perez and DJ Stretch Armstrong.

During the Q&A, the Beasties revealed an obscure, early innovation from their music career: “grape jelly and vodka — it works!”
