Even Ben Simmons’ new car has a Kardashian connection

Ben Simmons may no longer be dating Kendall Jenner, but the NBA star just can’t seem to quit the Kardashian family.

To celebrate his 23rd birthday over the weekend, the Australian basketball player treated himself to a a new car — a custom Ferrari 488 Spider.

But this isn’t just any old fancy sports car: This particular automobile comes in a colorway directly inspired by Travis Scott‘s “Cactus Jack” Air Jordan 4 sneakers ($542).

The point guard posted a picture of his new whip on his Instagram account on Monday alongside a product shot of the shoes that inspired the one-of-a-kind baby blue paint job with red detailing on the interior and wheels.

The colors on Scott’s Jordans were originally taken from the rapper’s hometown’s former NFL franchise, the Houston Oilers.

The 76ers player can certainly afford to splurge on a pricey gift for himself this year, given that he just signed a $170 million, five-year contract extension.

The connection between the car and the “Sicko Mode” rapper does seem a little odd, however, given that Simmons and Jenner officially broke up in late May after a little over a year of dating while Scott is, of course, the boyfriend of Kendall’s sister Kylie Jenner and father to their child, Stormi Webster.
