Vanessa Hudgens wears engagement ring on red carpet with Austin Butler
Vanessa Hudgens may have rocked an engagement ring on the red carpet at the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, but she isn’t getting married just yet.
Joining her boyfriend Austin Butler, who stars in the movie alongside Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, 30-year-old Hudgens was dripping in bling from Norman Silverman Diamonds, including five-carat pear-shaped drop earrings, an eternity band and an eight-carat pear-shaped ring, which she wore on her left-hand middle finger.
A rep for the jewelry designer confirmed to Page Six Style on Tuesday that although the massive rock is an engagement style, Hudgens isn’t engaged. However, the brand’s Instagram coverage of the star’s look may have led fans to think so, as the post detailing her bling featured hashtags including “#bridal,” “#shesaidyes” and “#bridetobe.”
Hudgens, who referred to her boyfriend as “my man of the hour” on Instagram on Monday, wore the jewelry with a black Armani cap-sleeved gown complete with sheer cutouts, while Butler matched in a black Brioni suit and David Yurman jewelry.
In addition to starring in the Quentin Tarantino film, the 27-year-old actor just scored the role of Elvis Presley in an upcoming film about the rock ‘n’ roll legend’s life.
The couple have known each other for years, and made their romance official on the 2012 red carpet for the premiere of Hudgens’ film “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.” She frequently posts photos of their outings on Instagram, from high-profile events like the Vanity Fair Oscar party to low-key date nights.
“The only one I have eyes for,” she captioned a sweet photo of the two smooching on Valentine’s Day.
