Fans celebrate first preview of Meat Loaf musical ‘Bat Out of Hell’

Die-hard biker Meat Loaf fans (yes, they exist) flocked to West 55th Street in a motorcycle procession to celebrate the first preview of “Bat Out of Hell,” the musical based on Meat Loaf’s and Jim Steinman’s legendary 1977 album.

Led by the show’s star, Andrew Polec, the motorcade caused a traffic snarl with the group howling the title song over some honking, we hear. “No fewer than three women were spotted lifting their shirts to flash Polec,” a spy said — though he seemed “unfazed” by the display.

Meat Loaf kept a low profile. “My motorcycle-riding days are over,” he was heard telling a fan at the theater.

The show is playing New York City Center.
